From January 2016 I started on a voluntary basis helping Study house Reshiet [read: resheet] (side activity).
Study house Reshiet is formed by a Jewish/Jewish-Christian couple from the Netherlands, who are moved to Israel.
The main goal of the family is to help people to read and interpreted the Bible for themselves, by giving them the basic knowledge about the language the Bible originally is written in. Great scholars have translated our Bible translations, but they are nothing more then a translation where words, sentences and contexts can be wrongly explained and understood.
One of the tools of this study, is the Dutch book “Hebreeuws in Zes Dagen [Hebrew in Six Days]”. With this study book, Study house Reshiet gives an Aleph course in the Hebrew Alphabet, including some Hebrew words. By using a unique story, the reader is taught in the prime language of the Bible.
This book is a success in the Dutch language and the next step is to press this book in the (American) English language too. The translator already did his job and I was asked to edit (to check) the translation.
Study house Reshiet gives more Hebew courses than just the basic Hebrew course called Aleph. Check their website (click on the logo) if you are interested in one of their courses. Besides the given courses, they also give study trips under the flag Reset Israel Tours. Both websites are written in Dutch, but that might change in the near future.
